Hello I am running the latest MIRC off this site and I have a error with my time stamp. It will glitch at 04 on the minute and not change till the next hour. I have unloaded all the scripts I had running.

I am using a windows XP machine media edition. Example of error is below.

[04:04:20] * ChanServ sets mode: +o User2
[04:04:36] <@User1> Man
[04:04:36] <@User2> ok let's hope this newer version upgrade fixed it
[04:04:48] <@User1> o-o
[04:04:51] <@User2> O_o
[04:04:00] <@User2> hmmm?
[04:04:06] <@User2> O_O
[04:04:09] <@User2> lol

It thinks it is 4 am when it is 4:40 pm... Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have any scripts loaded to mirc?

Try opening mIRC, Tools -> Options -> Category: IRC ( expand it ) -> Messages.

Now you should see a " Timestamp " and it should look like this

" [HH:nn:ss] " this is my timestamp and it works perfectly

HH = Hours
nn = minutes
ss = seconds

Nope not one script is loaded.

Maconga, unfortunately when I changed it to exactly as you typed it when it got to 04 on the minutes it got stuck there again... I am wondering what is causing this very odd error.

Type, with both slashes: //echo -a $timestampfmt $timer(0) $md5($mircexe,2) $dll(0) $version

What is the result?

Is windows updating the system clock at that particular time of the day, by any chance?
NTP anyone? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol

Are you absolutely sure your timestamp format is using nn for minutes, and not mm, which would give the current month and explain why you are getting 04 (ie. April).

Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

Dear sir,

That was the error. I thank you for helping me with it. guess I messed up and pressed M instead of N. Thank you.

Also to the nice man who asked me to type that code this was the result:

[mm.dd.yyyy HH:mm:ss] I changed it to [mm.dd.yyyy HH:nn:ss] that solved the issue. Thanks guys.
