Forums mIRC Help Unable to get rid of blinking system tray icon

I want to get rid of the blinking tray icon, but so far I have not succeeded in doing so.

I've turned off in Options:
IRC -> Options -> Flash on message
Display -> Blink icons
Display -> Options -> Tray... -> Animate icon

And yet, when I get queried and I'm not in that window, the tray icon starts blinking until I activate that query window. Am I overlooking something, is it a bug, or am I simply not able to disable it?

I'm using:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit English (legitimate)
mIRC 6.35 (legitimate)

Try with your remote off (/remote off).

Turning off remotes has no effect, still blinking.

If you have disabled flashing in the IRC/Options dialog, and it is still flashing, you may have flashing specifically enabled for that window. You can open the System menu for the window (click top left corner of the window) to check its flash setting. You can leave the "blink" and "animate" options enabled, they should not have an effect on the "flash" option.

That worked! For some reason, blinking was turned on for the user I query the most with. 10 years of mIRC and I never noticed those per-window options...
