As you can see, when you disable support for Windows XP scaling mode mIRC shows that it's
not aware of DPI's other than 96, thus is renderred at 96DPI in a 120DPI environment and
scaled, making the text and imagery fuzzy and unclear. Here's a screenshot for comparison
