I used speech recognition many years ago, but now I'm having trouble with it.

I thought that there was a Microsoft package that I installed or something, but.. for the life of me cannot remember. I have an agent installed, for text to speech.. but speech recognition is where I hit a bump in the road.

Right now if I: /vcmd on
I get: * Voice commands startup failed

Any help pointing me in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

I have 2 computers.. XP and Win7. As long as I can get it to work on one of them, I'll be happy. :-)

/vcmd on works for me with no extra software in windows 7.

In XP you might need to install Microsoft's Speech Recognition Engine http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306537
