Forums mIRC Help ignore problems

Greetings,
I'm having problems with my ignore. For some reason, I put someone on ignore, either manually or right clicking, doesn't matter which way, they only stay ignored for that session. When I connect the next time, the people I put on ignore are able to msg me again. How can I fix this? I'm using mirc 6.31

My first thought is that you don't have permissions set up to allow mIRC to edit the mirc.ini file (or whatever the file is that saves ignores... can't remember right now). That means your changes would be saved in memory only so they work in the current session, but because the memory is removed when closing mIRC, you lose the changes. Can you make changes to other things without losing them? If it's not that, maybe someone has more ideas.

Well, I am able to edit the notify list without any problems, with anything added staying until I delete them myself. Only thing that seems to not want to work properly is my ignore.

If the users are able to msg you again,
- are their entries in your ignore list ("Address Book" : "Conrol" : "Ignore") gone?
- is the checkbox "enable" unticked (at the aforementioned tab at the "Address book") after each reconnect / mIRC restart?

Either may be triggered by a rempote script.
Do you have any mIRC scripts loaded? If yes: Does the problem persist without these scripts loaded? If it does not persist and you're able to identify the script causing your problem, please post it (or in case of a lengthy script: all it's chunks containing the word "ignore") so we may be able to help you fix it.
