Basically, like the picture shows, the characters are displayed sideways. Anyone know the solution to this problem?

Here's the settings I use:

Does this happen in a clean mIRC?

in mIRC type

//echo -a $version $os $script(0) $dll(0) $com(0) $md5($mircexe,2)

Report the results here.

Try with a clean install of mIRC 6.35

Does this maybe have anything to do with your Windows theme? Also, does this happen in mIRC only?

Ok fixed.
It seems the japanese script always displays it sideways but when I switched to Hangul (korean) it was fine and could type japanese. Maybe this is a bug with the japanese script? :S

If it was a bug with Japanese script it would show up in other programs. Have you tried this?

OK.It turns out the fonts with an @ before them display the Japanese sideways and the versions without it display them normally.
