Im using Windows 7 beta (it also happened in Vista) and regularly mirc loses its aero border switching back to basic (other applications are unaffected).

This can often occur simply by switching to another application.

This has been reported, it happens when there is unicode in the topic and the channel window is maximized because mIRC tries to custom draw the titlebar.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do. Avoid channels with unicode fonts in the title and/or don't maximize your channel windows.

Is this going to be fixed anytime soon because its kinda annoying.

no one knows when bug fixes will be completed. we all anticipate them though. they are never pre-announced and have no specific release dates
