Hello,

ever since I user mirc, I find a strange, movable bar in my editor box

It only appears in the first channel I join regularly and changing the size of the text editor box doesn't help. What could it be and how do I get red of it?

Are you referring to the "second editbox" feature of mIRC?

Errrmm... Second editbox? And this should be a feature? Never heard it :-] and how do I disable it, if so? What use brings a second editbox anyway?

You can hit alt + q to disable it, but you'll have to do it on each window.

Yeah found it, and now I feel embarresed that I didn't find it by myself. OK, no bug, sorry for that... but then - what use is there for a second editor window? I don't get the point...

I don't use this feature myself so i couldn't say why it's useful or not, others could probably.

It's called the Command Editbox. You can assign a command to it so that anything you type into it will be treated as parameters to that command.

Right-click on a window's icon in the switchbar/treebar and select Editbox - this will bring up a dialog showing the various options you can set for this feature.
