Forums Bug Reports mirc dissapears from systray but keeps on running

hello,

second time this happens to me now, mirc just vanishes from the system tray (the one in the lower right, by the clock) yet keeps on running.

im running xp home, and I know its running because i can see it in the 'Process' tab of the taskmanager (but its not in the 'Applications' list), and as well I can see my logs grow.

i'm using mirc6.03

anyone know if there is anyway to prevent this? or any info about this at all?

I've had something similar but worse happen at times - mIRC disappears from taskbar, tray and also Task manager, so it can't be found or killed. Good way to get k:lined for excessive clones, ay :-)

I can't wait for the next version, be it 6.04 or 6.1 hehe

did you click "<<" ususaly XP have place to hiden icon on try

No I didn't click that little arrow thing... iit wasn't hidden, I have my systray/taskbar thing set to not hide inactive program icons that in there.

However I did have trillian loaded too. Maybe trillian hides away mirc or something? hehe

this happened to me sometimes (and not only with mirc), but usually it was when another application crashed.
I dont know whether it's an mirc bug or not, but the best solution is a restart:)

Yea, it happens when explorer.exe restarts, system tray gets reloaded then.
Some apps updates their icon, some not..

has happened to my bot b4...bot has still been active and alive to uae but not seen anywhere expect in the task manager
