Hi,

I'm wondering about a way to part a channel without closing its window,
any suggestions?

And please don't suggest kicking myself or disconnecting without rejoining.

There is an option in mIRC to keep the channel windows open.

mIRC Options -> IRC -> Keep Channels Open

Personally I don't see why you would want the window to stay open after you leave the channel, as you won't be in the channel, so any messages sent in the channel won't be recognized by your client.

the methods you suggested are the only ways to do what you want.

- argv[0] on EFnet #mIRC
- "Life is a pointer to an integer without a cast"
