Hi

Trying to better secure my anonymity online...

So can someone please recommend me a proxy/bouncer for IRC?

I always use proxies when surfing the net, but I can't seem to get a working IRC one... (the java ones are no good)

Please recommend one for Linux and/or Windows.

Thanks in advance,

Panarchy

Sounds like you want a BNC of some kind. For best results you will need a nix shell account ($2-$3 USD) Most usually come with access to a few vhosts.
Good luck

Thanks... but could you please suggest one that doesn't require me to pay?

Like a free one?

Thanks in advance,

If you find a free bnc, then they often are banned from the most networks due abuse, and if you can't connect to the server you want to go to, then you wont have any use of the free bnc.

As Sparta said free ones are usually on some blacklists. There used to be a few free shell hosts but I have never personally used them . Try googling for them. But don't expect them to be stable or have any form of support.
Good luck
