I paid my money and registered but I thought it would just give me a code to punch in and thats all. Now it has my name in there too. Is there a way to change my name in the registration? (the registered to) I don't like having my full name anywhere on my computer, especially when it isnt even encrypted.

To my knowledge, this is part of Khaled's attempt to ensure that all licenses are used by a single user only.

I would imagine that you could request the information be changed by writing to Khaled at khaled@mirc.com.

I would recommend that you include your current registered name and the e-mail address that you used when you registered your copy of mIRC.

I'm not going to recommend that you include the registration code in an open e-mail, but you should be prepared to send it as well if you are requested to do so.

Why? Is it a rental or something?

I wasn't trying to be a smartass or anything, it was a legit question. I'm wondering why someone would be so paranoid that they would not want their full name on their own machine. Is it a public computer? Rented? Are you doing something illegal?
