You using any scripts that can cose the problems? in that case, try a clean mirc install and see if that helps

No... frown

Ok, I guess I may have to tell you my condition little bit more.

I am living in school's dormitory, and they are using program call 'websense.' I also believe that school's dormitory IT department is using certain block system to prevent students from playing online game. (I cant play warcraft 3 battlenet. ) or chatting thing like mIRC.

I am not sure this, "software caused connection to abort" is due to my computer or computer's network. I once tried to put all information in connect tab, "firwall" and typed "Hostname" "user ID" "Password" and "Port," and select "Protocol" and "Firewall". then I try to connect, it said "Firewall problem" and I couldnt connect.

Anyway, Please help me with the situation.

It is not uncommon for a school to block certain aspects of the internet to prevent people from using it for non-school related purposes. It defintely sounds like this is the case for your situation, in which case, forum policy is to refer you to talk to the IT department to do the following:
1) Verify that the school's network is blocking IRC
2) If so, enquire as to if IRC access can be granted.
3) If so, obtain authorized access information for by-passing the school's blockage and use that.

It is against the policy of this forum to assist you with by-passing the IT department's blockage, and if they don't or won't help you with legally by-passing their settings, there's nothing anyone here will do to assist.

This goes on the borderline of helping you bypass your school's system, but I'd just like to point out that there are many web-based irc clients out there. It would be a good way to test whether this is an mIRC issue or not.
