I've had this "error" for a while now and also had it last year but i managed to turn it off using a command.

Now i can't remember what the command for this was and i would really like to know what it is because it is kinda annoying having to click it everytime.

It also happens when connecting to IRC servers.

I don't think there is a command to toggle this. Open the scripts editor (alt+r), in the Options menu click Monitor File Changes.
