I'm trying to figure out the correct address(for mIRC) to enter into the Peer Guardian Allow list for a chat room(internetplays) I watch. I've tried the obvious, http://irc.internetplays.com which is the address of the server, but that doesn't work. Does anyone use Peer Guardian and know how to get a channel to work with it.

Thanks, John

IRC doesn't use http:// . Try adding the address without that prefix.

or try visiting their website and reading their information on the IRC server,

http://www.internetplays.com/chathelp.php

which unsurprisingly enough gives a detailed description on how to connect to the server using mIRC, with screenshots (albeit outdated ones).

Peer Guardian won't accept the address without the http:// . I've also gone onto the InternetPlays.com site and tried to find information; and send them an email but they haven't answered after about 5 days. Not sure what to do next.

Hi, i use PeerGuardian 2, i just added irc.internetplays.com to my servers list in mIRC and got connected no problems.

Infact my PeerGuardian is PeerGuardian 2.0 Beta 6b

if you visit this link http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/ and redownload and overite your existing copy of PeerGuardian it might fix your problem, i
found that older versions dont seem to work after a newer version comes out.

Where it has downloads on that page, choose the exe file for your Operating System.

And another thing check your PeerGuardian settings, try joining with the program running but disabled in teh settings, also check if HTTP
is allowed, i have found if that is disabled it wont let me open up webpages in IE.

Try it and see if everything works, also have you updated the recent block lists ?
