I hope this information is not easily found in the fourms as I have no idea where or what to search for. So I apologize in advance for not knowing where to find this information first as I get frustrated when people dont search first.

I use IRC for gaming communication. We are in a few leagues and use IRC mainly for that. I see in various channels that people sends messages that are the same message but I dont think they are typing in the message each time.

For example, [Some Team Name] - Recruiting - PM with past experience.

The background of the text will be a solid color(yellow, black, red, etc...) with the text set to a color that is readable. This is sent to the channel, #somechannel, and not sent to each individual within that channel.

How can I do this or where/what do I search on for this information.

Thanks maroon.

I found those a little after I posted...

What I am trying to do is emulate a message sent in irc. At your PC you would type in the text box 'Hello all' and it will display for all to see.

I want to format a specific message and hopefully have the ability to send that same message in any channel I choose without having to re-type the message. At specific intervals.

[02:33]<somenick>a message that is type through the text box

[02:40]<somenick> [SomeTeam] is Recruiting!! Please PM me if your interested.

Background/Highlight color would be black. Text would mainly be white. I may have multiple colors within the message but the background/highlight would remain the same.

I have tried /timer but it seems that I'm the only one who sees the message. Also I have tried /echo which seemed to provided the same result.
