It's nice to be able to reduce the size of images by decreasing the bit-depth. However, the default method of bit-depth conversion is your typical find the closest matching color from the new pallette approach. It would help preserve the image quality to use a dithering algorythm such as the old standby, Floyd-Steinberg. Last edited by silimon; 11/07/08 01:04 AM.
