It used to be that when you searched mIRC-help for terms like $nick or $chan that had 2 locations, that the popup choose-window gave the name of both locations for you to choose from. Now, it just gives you a column labeled "Location" that always says "mIRC Help".

When you go to the Search tab, it's more helpful by also giving you the "Title" of the topics. The index search's popup choose-window should be changed to either replace or add the "Title" column.

I don't know what's happening on your end, but it's working fine here with both title and location columns.

I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this with the Help menu bar in mIRC, but if you click "Contents", it'll show the index, or whatever tab you clicked last.

And "Search" shows the index. (Always jumps to that, regardless of the tab you clicked last.)

I'm using 6.32 on vista home 32bit. The "topics found" popup window does come up with both title and locations column as you said, however the 'location' always shows as 'mIRC Help'. I was trying to say that the "title" returned on the 'search' tab is more helpful than the index always showing the title as $nick or $chan or whatever your multiple-hit search term was.

Now that it's mentioned, I see that the 'contents' tab does open up to the help-page opened by the index. I'm just saying that the 'topics found' popup isn't giving any clues as to which title '$nick' is the one i want.
