There seems to be a backdoor in mIRC.. Whenever this one bot messages me my mirc soon just closes.. with an error asking me if Id like to debug.. I use no scripts other than my /dns script and whois to change the outputs..

That gives us no information on how to reproduce this error except that it happens when a bot PMs you. What does it PM you with? Have you tried it on a fresh install to make sure?

sounds like its a SCRIPTS backdoor not a backdoor in MIRC itself

Yeah, spearman, type /remote OFF when you start miRC, then see if it still does it. If it doesn't, it's obviously a backdoor in a script you downloaded that's causing this.

/remote off wont necessarily fix it if its an infection, a lot of the latest mirc backdoors will echo the remote off response and not actually /remote off, I suppose a better test would be to either join a virus help channel (various channels exist on different networks) or try //echo $isalias(remote)

you could also try /debug on and read the last line in debug.log when mirc closes
