I'm having the same problem that some have already mentioned here. I'm running Vista and I'm the administrator. I've allowed mIRC through my firewall. I've not had a problem with viruses. One day mIRC worked fine, the next day I went to use it I got this message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path of file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"
I've set permissions to full control. I've uninstalled and reinstalled completely. I don't know what else to do. I've searched the Internet, I've read the forums but I can't really find an answer on how to fix this.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
