Forums Connection Issues Help for a computer idiot

I can't get my identity to be recognized. I can get on the board, but can't get the "+" by my nick. I followed the advise of the moderator, and even found a thread on here about it, but it is all greek to me. Is there a way for a computer loser to get back on track?

Having a + next to your name has nothing to do with being identified (unless the channel has some specific rule about voicing people, of course... and it is unlikely they voice everyone who isn't identified). Being voiced (the +) is up to the channel's ops. Only they can decide to voice someone. If they have some rules about being voiced, then you will have to follow those rules. No one here can really help you because it's the channel's choice whether or not to give you voiced status.
