Forums mIRC Help Cant Join Channel ???

i used mirc before, but new on mirc.com
i downloaded mirc
installed it
now i want to join a channel i cant
i typed the right command
/join #chat
but it does nothing

any ideas ?

Look in the status (server) window to see if there is an error message when you try.

irc.blessed.net- *** Processing connection to irc.blessed.net

If that's as far as it gets then you're not connecting to the server.

butt thats the only errors

at the end it says

I guess I should have said to try and join the channel again and then look at the status window to see if there is an error message.

i get the same errors

can it be my router ?

and do i have to open any ports for mirc to work properly ?

I've tried myself to connect to irc.blessed.net (EFNet) and /join #chat.
Note that it's the first time i connect to this network :

I guess he is banned too.

i even tried #winxp
at first it works and lets me in
but if i close the channel and try again it wont work

???
it could be my router
or something else i dont know

He must have a script blocking the raw reply then.

dont have any scripts

i installed a new mirc

even uninstalled it and reinstalled it

same thing

so after port fowarding some ports
i am still stuck with the same problem

It obviously has nothing to do with ports since you successfully connected to the server. You're probably just banned from the channel and aren't seeing the raw reply for some reason when you try to join the channel. They have a lot of tight bans and obviously one of them is effecting you...

Lol, those are some rather rediculous bans. Might as well just ban *!*@*.

i am not banned,it does this different server i go to
if i was banned it would say you been banned from #channel name

some servers it wont let me join a channel
