Hi, I am new to the whole IRC. I've only been using it for about a month or so and I would like to try to learn how to script after seeing the successful bots like RuneScript, ProScript, Genie and much more. I need a link or something that can teach me how to script and make a good bot.

Thanks

The Help file that comes with mIRC is your best reference.

That depends, what if he doesn't have any prior coding experience what-so-ever?

Tutorials/reference files can't teach you anything, if you don't already have a basic understanding of what you're seeing.

Even so, the help file is still just about the best resource available. Use that while examining some (small) scripts and you can learn how things work. Yes, if you know nothing about programming, it's harder to learn to write a script in mIRC. That said, if you plan to learn, you should at the bare minimum have at least a decent understanding of math and logic. Without those, you're not going to do very well.

Tutorials are helpful, but in the end, the help file is more useful, imo.
