can a person without txplay in their mirc, type some command and hear a sound that I play?

Yes, the command is /splay

/help /splay

~ Edit ~
As of 6.21, disabling sounds in the options dialog also effects /splay so make sure your sounds are enabled.

its /splay

/help splay will give you help on how to use the command.

They cannot hear a sound that YOU play unless they download it first. After downloading it, they can use /splay to play it (or any sound player).

This just tells you how to use it...
/help /splay

Anyone can type some command. Can they hear a sound you play? They would have to be geographically close. Maybe with a microphone connected to a speaker with a really really long wire.

txplay is a music playing and sharing script.

Well my guess is they couldnt, unless they

(A) have the sound and you use CTCP SOUND
(B) they have a compatible script (unlikely)

Im not sure, but thats my guess.

I think they just want to play music without a script. That's what it seemed like to me anyway.
