I can't seem to find any threads or posts about this error. I just installed mirc on my laptop. It runs via wireless through my Linksys router. I get this looping error when I try to connect:

* Connecting to irc.gamesurge.net (6667)
-
* Firewall: Unable to find firewall address
-
* Connect retry #1 irc.eu.gamesurge.net (6667)
-
* Firewall: Unable to find firewall address

Any suggestions on what my problem may be?

One would assume, since you changed mIRC's firewall settings, that you're running some kind of firewall which you think could be interfering with mIRC. If so, help us help you and give more details.

You should also try another server/network. For example, try /server irc.efnet.pl 6667

It shouldn't say anything about your firewall because you turned it off as Rock suggested...
