I know all mirc's have reconnect function, and it works for me too, but if i am disconnected for something like Excess flood it doesnt reconnect. so i want that if it shows "Closing Link: $me by mediatraffic2.fi.quakenet.org (Excess Flood)" then it automatically tries to reconnect.

Well I have a socket open to the room so ($2 == ERROR) when I get that message. I just rejoin the room when I get that.

mIRC has a few different features to help with disconnecting.

In mIRC options: (alt + O)

Connect > Options >

Reconnect on Disconnection
Check for Timed Out Connection (this one could cause issues)

Retry Button (decide how often and how many times you want to attempt to reconnect when disconnected)
