in the past 3 days I have not been able to connect to irc


I hit the connect server button it connects, but the next window never pops open so I dont get into a room this is the only command that comes up

apparently im connected but my channel window doesnt pop up anymore

That is just a setting. You should still be able to manually join a channel using: /join #channelname

I can't remember where the setting is to make the channel window appear again, but if you delete your mIRC.ini file while mIRC is closed and then open mIRC, it will create a new mIRC.ini file that should have that enabled. You'll just need to redo your mIRC options.

Or perhaps someone else knows where that setting is. I know there's a checkbox ON that dialog, but I don't know where else it is.

I'm having the same problem, I get connected to the IRCQ-Net network but can't seem to join any room even typing /join #room name doesn't work. I did just get a new home networking system and a new wireless usb hook up. I'm not sure if that could be the problem. I can get on using another network so I'm wondering if its the IRQC-Net network.
