I, for some reason, have been identified as a bot...which I'm not...is there any way to take that off?

1) Make sure that you don't have a script that's setting mode +B on your nick.
2) Talk to the people in the network's help channel (usually #help)

The first one will handle if you're setting the Bot mode, the second will (or should) handle it if it's something on the network.

Some networks mark you as a bot based on your ident information (Alt-O > Connect > Identd). Note that if you have the "use e-mail for ident" box checked there, then it will be based on whatever you have as your e-mail address. If you set your Identd user name as something that doesn't look like random letters and numbers, that may help. Also, some don't like capital letters.

only problem with that is that me being identified as a bot makes it so that I can't log onto the network...as a matter of fact...the exact message it gives me is..."* You were killed by OperServ (Killed (OperServ (bot )))

Have you tried changing your identd?

If its your address, you'll have to contact the network for help. Look on their website (if they have one for a contact)

Apart from that, no.
Look on the networks website (if they have one) for a contact address.

Keep in mind that the ban will often last for 24-48 hours even if you change your ident. After that period of time, if you fix your ident so it's valid for that network's rules, then it may let you on.
