It all depends if the echo is a notice or a ctcp?

Code:
if $reality > $fiction { set %sanity Sane }
Else { echo -a *voices* }

Code:
on ^*:NOTICE:*:*:{
  if ($2 == chat) { haltdef | return }
  else if ($2 == send) { haltdef | return }
}

That in your remote

if ($me != tired) { return } | else { echo -a Get a pot of coffee now $+($me,.) }

Erk, now I see that I worded my question badly. Thinking about it properly now...the answer to my question is:
Code:
ctcp ^*:*:*: {
  if (($1 != DCC) && ($target != $me)) {
    haltdef
    stuff
  }
}

I don't drink coffee ><
