In the script editor, the search/replace function does not evaluate wildcards, most likely because scripts frequently use *. However it would be nice to have a toggle switch to enable wildcard use for removing strings of text from scripts.

Also, I've talked to many people who are annoyed by the visible toolbar/switchbar grips for moving them, and wanted them removed.

The search and replace would be nice, though you can automate this with a /filter script of some sort to sift through the file and do the replacements there..

As for the toolbar thing, yea, the grips should disappear when the toolbar is locked to stay consistent with the behaviour of locked toolbars in other applications

I do second the suggestion of a "literal/use wildcards as wildcards" switch.
To broaden that idea, why not allow an "advanced search" with even an optional regex search?
