Forums Connection Issues Why can't I get connected??

I just downloaded the software and am getting several different errors.

Connection Timed Out
Unauthorized Connection
Connection Refused


What am I doing wrong??

The first one, means that the network didn't respond in the time that mIRC was set to wait for (I think 30 seconds is the default)

The 2nd & 3rd mean that you tried to connect to a network without permission.

It would help if you provided the names of the networks that you tried and got these messages on.

I left it on whatever was selected, as per the instructions.

I finally got connected by choosing a different server.
