Does anyone else's copy of mIRC freeze when using certain commands like /help or /ison <nick>?

Or is it just me? :X

My mIRC froze earlier, and as of today I can't seem to do anything, every time I double-clicked on someones name I keep getting the Break halted error. No scripts are loaded, it happens when I try to echo something, to evaluate an identifier.

Ok, I managed to get a video of mIRC 6.3 freezing.

/help didn't want to freeze, but luckly for me /ison decided to.

The video is located here. (10 MB.)

And the nick I /ison'd is actually online.

Why not simply test it in a clean mIRC install and (when you almost certainly fail to reproduce it) load your scripts and DLLs one-by-one until it freezes?

your video claims the custom output for the RAW ison response is not the problem-- how can you prove this?

it sounds like an invalid assumption to me, since it does have a loop. take out that code and try freezing mirc

Which I've done, and it's still frozen.

Here.

You only removed that one raw event and tried it? I tried it with your raw 303 code too and it did not freeze so I know that isn't it. Try it with a clean install.

you're still making an awful lot of assumptions that none of your code is the culprit. like everyone else suggested, you really must be able to reproduce this occurence in a completely clean copy of mIRC to convince me that this is not the fault of faulty code you may be running.

Well, how would you explain /help causing mIRC to freeze?

can you reproduce this on a clean install?

If you haven't tried yet, don't even bother replying. I don't like to be rude but surely you've been taught to follow simple instructions- this is about the 4th time you've ignored the question. I'm sure it's not that hard to verify that help will "freeze mirc" on a clean install if you really believe it will; so let's see it.
