Sometimes when I type a message it pre-fixes a % before the message.

eg: <source> %brb
however I only see
<source> brb

I never typed the % and don't have or know of anything that should be causing it. I have even re-installed mIRC and still have not had any luck with figuring out what it is.

someone PLEASE help.

The first thing that occurs to me, is a script with an ON INPUT event. You stated that you re-installed mIRC, but did you try it with no scripts loaded?

I have 1 on input. However I've had someone look at it and it is not the problem. I guess I may try running with my /remote's off.

Does your onINPUT call any custom aliases? A /msg alias perhaps? mIRC doesn't send a % prefixed to messages unless a script has been designed to do that (whether intentionally or not).
