I just recently got a laptop and had to have it installed with Vista (blah). I was able to get Mirc on there and was able to talk to people. But the problem is that I can't get to my logs...

Can someone help me? How do I get my logs to work so I can read them. It isn't like the old version on my pc where I can just go to the logs folder in mirc folder and open it with notepad.

Well, what are they opened with now? Is the .log file extension no longer associated/opened with notepad? What happens when you try to open one?

Vista doesn't allow applications to write to the Program Files directory and redirects such attempts to a "Virtual Store" folder instead.

I believe the location of the Virtual Store is C:\Users\[color:green]username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\mIRC[/color], but I'm not on Vista to check.

You can change the logging directory in mIRC Options -> IRC -> Logging.
