What would the use of this extend your abilities on mirc for exactly...

i too would like this. for now, i am stuck using crappy workarounds like $str($chr(160),5) and the like.

KingTomato: being able to display $chr(9) as a true tab would make displaying data in mirc more organized.

It has a big use for me at least. I hang out in a bunch of coding channels (#c, #c++, #php, etc) and generally when you write code in one of those languages, you indent lines with a tab. So when I or someone else pastes broken code to the channel it is very hard to read because you see all the "boxes" where tabs should be.

just bringing it up again
it's a bitch if you haven't got a fixed width font - end up having to measure the length of characters by the amount of #160 characters you can fit in it smirk

my guess is that you would have to do create /tab, and measure in pixels? - have to be added to every window format too smirk
