Forums mIRC Help SOCKET PROBLEMS

EVERY TIME I REBOT MY SYSTEM I GET THIS POPUP (Hostirc.easynews.com6667) Socket not connected
and it keeps popping up i cant run any programs
if i hit controll/alt/delete and end task for sss
it will stop the popups i cant find the program
but everytime i rebot it comes back to haunt me
please help anyone or suggestions

you might have the trjan or virus that connects to a irc server alowing a user to control your machine. These are usually botnets, which in groups, are used for Denial Of Service (DoS) attacks. You might try going to Start>>run and typing "msconfig" and click run. From there, gotot the startup tab and search for any programs that seem as though you didn't instal them, or not something desirable. Just uncheck it, click apply, and restart. You should , if thats where it is starting up on, be able to kill it from starting up.
