Even when i dont specify the -t flag for a custom window, tabs still form up according to columns.

Code:
alias example {
  window @testing
  echo @testing this will be cut off because this tab:	will align this text when it shouldn't.
}

I don't find this to be true, are you certain you had closed the @testing window before creating it without any switches?

yes i am sure. and this is mIRC 6.21, Windows XP Pro SP2
