Just bought a new linksys router model "BEFSX41." Updated the firmware on it. Now since I got this router, I get the error "software connection abort." This only happeneds when I idle, so I am using a timer to keep myself on. The only problem is that I have to have the timer set to 120 seconds otherwise I could possible disconnect if the timer is set longer. This is a real annoyance. This problem occurs on BOTH computers, which it never has before I got the router. I know thier is a whole thread on this already, but I believe my problem has to do with the router itself and maybe I can just change a setting on it to get it work. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Have you checked with linksys?
Have you checked router settings with possibilities as listed at PortForward.com

I have gone to linksys website, no answers. I have done port forwarding as well. I've opened up 113 for identid and also opened up ports so I could DCC. Other then that, I'm not sure what you mean :-\. I'm learning with routers, so maybe I'm missing something here. What else would I have to do in port forwarding so I won't get this error?
