Don't bump threads. Especially after only 10 minutes. This is not IM or a chat room. It's a forum. You can often expect to wait as long as 24-48 hours before getting a reply depending what people are doing at the time. A lot of people are at work or school right now and would not be able to help you.
For your answer, that's the network forcing you to be in that channel. I don't know why that is, but it does it to me as well. I'd avoid using such networks.
