can't send, so worked on router for soooo long, with your instructions and got no where. no help from realm-router or ops. figured i must have everything messed up by now, and my isp refused to help; so i reset the router.
big mistake! now i can't get into the router settings as i can't sign in with "admin" any longer. i had to reinstall my dsl and now my ip has changed and i can't find that either. everything has changed with the new installation.
been on google tring to find a fix, but not a tech and i am really lost.
back to square one. but now where to go now as i can't get in to make changes to the settings.
is there more info out there? can someone please help me out?
have westell 327w router, running xp home.
any help would be appreciated.
thank you,
bev

westell will not support this model. wemt to support and they provide verizon's support #, as this model was made for verizon.
just another dead end.
routers are not that expensive.
do you know which one WILL work? it would be easier to just go out and buy another.
any ideas?
thanks for replying.

Well, the only one I've ever used is a D-Link DI-604, however I've had this for a while, so D-Link might not make this model any longer, but if they don't then they will have updated versions.

Well, I use an Xterasys router and it has no problems with NAT (resumes) or sending to myself. It is also very easy to set up. I'm not sure what others are good as this one is the only router I have needed.

i am finally able to log in to set up router.
my settings should be cleared.
now, i have no DMZ. however, i have the option to connect to UPNP? should i?
also, at the top is "service profile", not mentioned in any instructions. it is set at default and i have the option to set to "new" or "edit" before i begin; or just let it alone and do nothing. don't know what to do.
i have my static ip and will enable that.
if anyone can give me a hand with this i surely would appreciate it.
thanks so much,
bev
