FaiNT F	i was sending to my bot (eggdrop)(dcc queue script testing) when it noticed me back and said connction faliure (invalid port). before i go on, let me give u some info: -im connected to a ircd on a Linux box with my eggdrop -mirc is set to send my localport when it sends dcc send -this is a local connection from a lan Ok, so after seeing that i opened a debug window, and saw this: Code: .:19·48·35:. -> irc.foonet.com NOTICE Z3R0C00L :DCC Send BWIS_#fainted_one_12_03_2007.txt (192.168.0.65) .:19·48·35:. -> irc.foonet.com PRIVMSG Z3R0C00L :DCC SEND BWIS_#fainted_one_12_03_2007.txt 4294967295 0 4044012 6 .:19·48·38:. <- :Z3R0C00L!crash@faint-AC87B60B NOTICE MrStonedOne :Failed to connect (invalid port) ok, to those who dont know, the port mirc is giveing it is 0. note, the script uses a send alias, hers the dcc line: dcc send -cm $1 $qt($2-) this is a odd bug. system info: vista 2.4ghz intel p4 ati x1300 pro (overclocked) airlink mimo wifi via 10/100 nic

FaiNT F	that helps. now how is it that going thou a 10/100 nic that i only get 2.1 kb/sec edit: never mind, its seems that its the slowness of the dest computer, its a 337 old amd k6-2 Last edited by FaiNT; 13/03/07 11:04 PM.

You can have a 256kbit speed on a 10mbit/100mbit NIC depending on your ISP connection. The only time the NIC actually matters is if your connection is faster than the NIC can handle. I assume the OP has a fast connection, but just commenting on the NIC being used in the question. Either way, he said it was just who he was sending to.
