Hello my friends. I hope it's not posted in the wrong place.
First, let me tell you a little bit history:
The coder of this script, called "snake", has quit this project a long time ago, as you can see at:

www.anaconda.pt.vu

BUT ... he just told me that, if i get 1.000 signatures in my petition, he will update the script for anaconda 3.0 ...and with a lot improovements/features:

http://www.petitiononline.com/Anaconda/petition.html

So, my friends, you can check also the score of this script here:
http://www.hawkee.com/view.php?file_id=356

Yeah, that's right: 88470 downloads my friends. this script kicks-ass, believe me. You can see at the bottom of the page, snake talking about 10.000 sigs. But he changed the mark ( you can ask him personally on #anaconda @ irc.ptnet.org )
Still not curious? Then, check this another site:
http://www.mirc.net/view/mscripts
As you can see on the right side, he's in second place!
Now do you believe me?

You can download the script and check it by yourself with mirc 6.16.
But if you want it updated to version 3.0... please sign the petition.
I'm asking all of you mirc fans, please don't close your eyes to this... you just lose 2 seconds to sign the petition, you don't even have to post a message...not even a real e-mail. i just want you to sign it, that's all. Let's please, bring anaconda 3.0 back.
Thank you for all the signs so far

From the website --

I've started to run out of will to continue this project a while back, and lost it completely now. I'm not going to use the excuse of being busy with other stuff, because thats not the case. I lack interest and will to keep this script updated. And no, this is not a prank like the one I did last April 1st.

It's pointless trying to get him to make a new version if he has lost interest. You could get 10,000 signatures, but he still more than likely won't have interest to continue the project.

I think you're wasting your time, sorry.

Anyone who wants to script can do so without signatures. If he really wanted to, he would. Anyhow, your response is not a way to get signatures on anything. Anyone seeing it will likely ignore the thread from that point forward.

On the other hand, here is you, saying "oh, you want to stop scripting? TOO BAD, I have 10000 signatures saying you have to continue."

this is more like spam/advertising post than honorable deed.
those who "like" the script will whine to author and not spam here saying "this script kick ass, dont believe me? go check www.blabla... and download it"

no thanks

I have my own script, it has many games, full pics, icons, sounds, 2 mp3 players, complete with full IRC operator, and channel operator dialogs, total flood controls, clone detection and every kicker and killer imaginable... it is absolutely bad to the bone.

I can reset all of the clocks in London with this thing.

It totally rocks, I know this because I wrote it, every line, from scratch.

It required no signatures. cool

I agree with hixxy here. It is pointless getting someone to do something that their heart is not in.

I have been begged by many to update/upgrade the script I first released and upgraded a dozen times since 1999 and despite three attempts at it I just cannot be bothered. If it can run with the latest mIRC then that is all that concerns me at this point in time and I have to say that I am unlikely to ever write another full script. With that in mind, I know how the author of Anaconda or whatever feels.

Does anyone know of any author of a full script who has retired and later made a comeback? I don't but perhaps one or two might exist.

I'm reminded of the 'famous' pai.. the maker of the Peace and Protection script. She was a very good mIRC scripter who, for some reason simply fell off the face of the planet. I don't know (and I don't think anyone else knows) if she simply decided to stop scripting, or if something happened to her. Anyway, if it turns out that she just got tired of scripting, I don't think anyone could petition her into it again.

Ive signed your petetition because its good to see people supporting something created in mIRC. It's those people that drives people to mIRCScript in many cases.

However im almost positive he said that thinking it would never ever happen.

Supposedly Pai was a member of these message boards not so long ago under a different username.

There was also a "paipai" that submitted a bug report.
