Hello,

How can I remove this option from mIRC:
http://www.mirc.com/faq6.html#section6-11

I dont need any select-and-copy-in-one-move feature.

For example, for screen readers with low vision people it is IMPOSIBLE to copy anything.

Best regards,
Rui

You can't. If someone can't see what they are highlighting, then the font should be increased in size to make it easier.

Hi,

That is not the point of this future fix, I think.

With a screen reader AND a magnification software, you need to use the keyboard since many people dont use the mouse anymore. So, with the keyboard there isnt any possibility to do this.

Maybe with a dll or someting else we can do that? How can I suggest this on future versions? Do you personaly think this is a good funtion or its just a waste of time to some people that can OR NOT use the script?

Best regards,
SL

It can be posted in the feature request forum, but I honestly don't think you'll see the copy/paste feature get changed. And there is nothing wrong with using a mouse.

I know this sounds a little funny and I dont mean to offend anyone but if I didnt have a mouse then that would be it, I would have to give up (too lazy to use linux in shell only) So yes please keep the mouse feature LOL

Yeah. I can do most things in Windows without a mouse (useful if you have mouse problems), but that doesn't mean I *want* to. There are some things that are faster without a mouse, but many things that are faster with it.

I'm curious how someone expects to copy/paste in mIRC *without* a mouse, though. mIRC doesn't allow putting your cursor on the text in the channel and holding shift to highlight and I doubt it ever will.

I do know you can move your mouse cursor through your keyboard using a windows accessability tool... so you could do it with that.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it!
