Colors aren't possible in a dialog without a DLL like DCX.
And I don't know what you mean by multiple "backspaces" ... that would delete characters, which wouldn't make sense to me. Are you sure that's the word you meant to use? Maybe you meant "spaces"?

You still need a dll for multiple spaces. There's one called spaces.dll, but I don't recall where it's located at the moment, and it seems to me that it doesn't work with dialogs (although I may be wrong about that).
