Hi,

I uses a usb-headset for skype and such thinks which comes as a 2nd sound-device. So in other applications I can switch the output device to the headset or the normal soundcard.

In the windows systempreferences the sound-card is set as default device for output, input and midi.

But mirc ignores theese settings and uses only the headset.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately mIRC has no control over the actual sound device that is used, it uses the Windows MCI API to play sounds and depends on Windows itself to select an appropriate sound device. Basically, all it does is ask Windows to play the mp3, wave, or midi sound, and Windows then chooses the method.
