Yes I would like to know if the MIRC program is supported with linux. I have setup an IRC server with Linux. This server is going to be used for the purpose of christain chat. I want to setup a Bible Bot, but the only program I know of is Christain command that uses MIRC as a backbone. Do you have any ideas or information that could help me. I want to run this all on the server that has linux on it. (redhat 8.0) Thanks Revd

The only way to get miRC to run on linux is to run it through Wine.

Someone that is new to this forum and maybe new to any forum will probably not know of the search engine.

It's not like you have to go digging for the search page, if he managed to look down the page to see 'mIRC Help' he could have just as easily looked up and saw 'Search'. And maybe if he is new to ANY forum, but if it is just this one, every mailing list, or forum, and some newsgroups, I've ever went to always had a policy of check the archives before asking a question that was already asked.

Going by that attitude you could say that he should have read the entire mirc.co.uk website as the answer to his question is also there. Your reply is hardly a welcoming one, rather quite obnoxious. Especially since another user replied directly to the question which was 1 1/2 hours before your reply. Still, if you wanted to highlight the fact that this forum (and not all do) has a search engine, once would have sufficed. You are just scaring people away.

I don't recall asking for your opinion. Apparently the moderators did not mind what I posted, since none of them felt the need to remove it. So if they don't mind, thats all I care about.

Who said you did ask for my opinion. I'll give mine as you give yours, unless of course your highness objects... All I can say is, I'm glad I don't ever have to ask you for help with anything, you arn't real good at it.
