Using /color doesn't update the text or background colors in the Treebar

I can't seem to reproduce the problem here, if I use /color treebar N where N is a number from 0 to 15 the treebar background is updated immediately with the selected color. The same happens when modifying the treebar text color. Are you sure you are using the correct parameters, /color treebar N and /color "treebar text" N.

I'm talking about it's usage in this way...

Quote:
To change the color of the Nth color in the 16 color palette to a new value, you can use /color <index> <rgb>

I change the RGB value and the Treebar still uses the delfault RGB value for the index.

This also works fine for me here, using //color 0 $rgb(255,255,255) and then //color 0 $rgb(255,255,0), back and forth. Are you sure you're changing the correct color index?

Sorry... it appears that I was using the wrong index number. blush

Any chance we might get to edit the RGB values in the colors dialog in the future? smile

Already possible, just rightclick on any of those little coloured squares.

why isnt it possible to use more than 16 colors? i mean like prefixing them with $chr(3) like it is already and use rbg codes? like []FFFFFF ? because of the messagelength limit of 510?

Other IRC clients don't support it, and messages would look awful to those.

Yeah it's a bit of a pain that other things hold mIRC back (and vice versa if other client authors have considered extending them) but IRC is about communication, so it wouldn't be a wise idea to start adding unsupported jargon to messages
