Does anyone know if there is an IRC-client made in Cobol ?
If there is, I can base me on this program to make myself an IRC-bot in Cobol.

My God! Your calendar must wrong because apparently it reads March 27, 1973 not March 27, 2003. I suggest you quickly correct that issue.

Hey, I had a Sinclair ZX Spectrum and it was the mutt's nuts! I prefer to think of it as an 'antique' now...like myself, lol

Pacman, Telecom Viatel, online betting, 1000's of 5 1/4" discs lying on the floor, even a GUI based office suite, and the world's biggest monitors at the time (63cm coloured telly) - that was the good old C64.

My first machine was a C64 thoguh a mate of mine had some basic looking Tandy model a while before that. It didn't have the balls the C64 had though. Never again will one computer dominate like the C64 did. crazy

I had a pretty ugly computer that was like around 133MHz and there was this 'Turbo' button who overclocked it to 140MHz... Good ol' days.

Heh yea all this nostalgic talk made me go fire up my old 486. Win3.1 is so outdated, yet at the time, it was great.

Tell me about it - I thought of an environmentally sound initiative the other day...

I got a 486-66 out of the garage and loaded Win NT4 Server on it, updated to SP6a, Installed IIS, an IRCd and a few other things on it and then expected it to boot in the same time as my main workstation - forget it. I didn't really 'expect' it as such, just forgot that computers arn't computers and 15 mins after starting this machine it finally got all services running.

Now that I have got it going I don't want to use it. Even though it may be safe I just don't trust an NT4 install that cannot be updated and it seems that Micro$oft don't issue updates for NT4 anymore. If they do lemmie know.

I've heard there is a version of cobol where you can make a browser in, so I suppose you can also make a IRC of it.

And no, I'm at the right time, but on IRC we have a channel where we make bots of all different program languages and COBOL is one of the langues I'm the only one knows there, so I wanted to make one.
