hi

mirc help file sucks big time

is there an alternative

1)in other format (html, doc, anything) that can click ctrl+f and search!!!
2)maybe rewritten with additional content

personally, I find it highly useful. I agree that other formats would be a good thing, but for now, it's all we have. There is an UNofficial CHM file (and the link is on this board somewhere) that people have downloaded if you wanted to check that out (at your own risk of course)

The current format can be searched.

Help > Search > "Find" Tab

Well by vista's release it had better be changed, cuz a friend of mine is beta testing vista and found that .hlp files are no longer supported for windows. The old winhlp32.exe that executes the .hlp files has done away with them. But, the help file seems easy compared to programing language help like php and perl. At least in mirc's help files Khaled did give us some good examples to help.
