When I attempt to connect to a server on mIRC, it says this.
Unable to connect (Connection refused)
This is covered in the sticky topic, but it doesn't explain it clearly enough on how to fix it. I first thought that my thirty day period was up, so I downloaded another IRC program, XiRCON. I got roughly the same message when i attempted to connect there. Please help.

Have you tried different servers? Normally it means that the server you are connecting to is down.

It wasnt working for the server i normally used, but when i tried the random server function, all the random servers also didnt work.

There's a number of networks that arn't using round robins at the moment because the addresses are being used in atacks by warbots. You'll need to visit the network's website and find the available addresses for the individual servers.

Note that this applies to some but not all networks.

Could it have to do with AOL? Thats my current ISP. I checked on efnet.net, and they didnt say anything about servers being unable to use.

and the last time i tried, EFNET didnt like Random server any better than DALnet does, altho that was a few days ago
